Pete Rose, Major League Baseball’s all-time leader in hits who was banned from the Hall of Fame after he was caught gambling on baseball games, has died at age 83, ABC News and TMZ reported on Monday.

Pete Rose, Major League Baseball’s all-time leader in hits who was banned from the Hall of Fame after he was caught gambling on baseball games, has died at age 83, ABC News and TMZ reported on Monday.

TMZ attributed the news to Rose’s agent, while ABC News cited the medical examiner in Clark County, Nevada.
