Aryna Sabalenka captured her first U.S. Open title after defeating American Jessica Pegula 7-5, 7-5 on Saturday in New York.

Aryna Sabalenka captured her first U.S. Open title after defeating American Jessica Pegula 7-5, 7-5 on Saturday in New York. 

The 26-year-old from Belarus earned her third career Grand Slam title.

She has won the Australian Open each of the past two seasons and was the runner-up to Coco Gauff at the 2023 U.S. Open.
