Fans of Danny took to X – formerly known as Twitter – to claim that he should have his own cookery show
The former soap star claimed at the start of the episode that he had ‘never’ baked before in his life and whilst putting his cake together later on in the show, there was panic that his masterpiece woudl topple to the ground.
He exclaimed: ‘It’s gonna go over, it’s gonna go over.’
In the end, Danny decided he was just going to ‘have to live’ with the results but the cake thankfully stayed in place.
The Heat actor was joined by comedian Leigh Francis, funnyman Rhod Gilbert and radio DJ Yinka Bokinni on the special, which saw Keith Lemon star Leigh, 50, take home the Star Baker apron.
Leigh dropped his Keith Lemon alter ego to take part in the Channel 4 special and managed to wow judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with his ‘disgusting’ Showstopper.
Tasked with creating a cake out of their biggest disaster, Leigh decided to recreate the moment he lost his toenail, crafting an impressive baked replica of his injured foot.
The judges and viewers were left seriously impressed with the bake, especially after Leigh confessed that he had never made a cake before.
‘That toe nail looks so realistic,’ tweeted one viewer.
