Glen Huntly horror: 14-year-old boy fighting for life after being forced into a car and ambushed after school in Melbourne

A teenage boy is fighting for his life after he was pulled inside a car and stabbed by a group of men in a suspected armed robbery.

Police are actively hunting for the thugs who took the boy, 14, into a dark grey Volkswagen Tiguan on Neerim Road outside Glen Eira College in Glen Huntly, southeast Melbourne, just after school finished at about 3:35pm.

The victim, who is believed to be a student at Glen Eira College, was walking home from school at the time of the abduction.

It’s understood the offenders were armed with machetes and they stabbed the victim during an altercation inside the vehicle.

The car then drove a short distance before the boy was either thrown out or managed to get out at the corner of Neerim Road and Grange Road.

He sustained life-threatening injuries following the altercation.

One student saw the victim lying on the ground and coughing up blood. Witnesses called emergency services.

The boy was rushed to Royal Children’s Hospital. He is in a serious but stable condition.

Police are exploring the possibility that the attack is linked to an earlier incident where four teenagers were robbed by two machete-wielding offenders on nearby Kambrook Road at about 3:25pm.

A statement from Victoria Police confirmed the teenager had sustained ‘significant injuries’ during the attack.

Police are unsure how many offenders were involved in the abduction.

Anyone who witnessed either incident, has CCTV or dashcam footage or any other information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
