A 20-year-old man has been taken into custody after at least 10 people were plowed down by a vehicle believed to have been stolen in the Bronx, New York.
The pedestrians were taken to Bellevue Hospital with non-life threatening injuries including two minors aged, 5 and 7.
One witness claimed to have seen a victim ‘flying through the air’ at the East 42nd and Lexington Avenue collision which reportedly involved three vehicles.
Chaotic images and video from the busy intersection show a black and red vehicle in what appears to have been a head-on collision.

Another video shows one female victim being stretchered out from the area – as passers-by gawk at the active crime scene.
A woman, believed to have been a passengers in the ‘stolen vehicle,’ is said to have fled the area by foot and remains at large, Citizen reported.
Responding officers requested additional units for traffic and crowd control and asked people to ‘avoid the area’ as they continue to investigate.
