Financier, 55, now faced with 75-count indictment as he’s accused of raping and plying girl, 14, with drugs after passing her off as his daughter – as he denies charges

A disgraced New York financier accused of raping and plying a 14-year-old girl with drugs has been slapped with a fresh 75-count indictment which includes the alleged abuse of three other victims.

Michael Olson, 55, was initially charged with a 17-count indictment after the 14-year-old girl he’s claimed to have been with in a Midtown Manhattan hotel room overdosed on cocaine, ketamine and Xanax.

The new indictment includes allegations that Olson continued to reach out to underage girls online after being released on a $1 million bail bond and placed on electronic monitoring, according to Assistant District Attorney John Fuller.

He’s also been accused of selling drugs to another child, aggravated patronizing of a minor for prostitution and endangering the welfare of a child.

Among the damning indictment he was hit with 32 felony counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child after ‘graphic and lewd images’ were allegedly found on his electronic devices.

‘These 32 [counts] represent some of the most graphic and lewd images that he possessed,’ said Fuller.

Judge Ann Scherzer issued four orders ‘which would remain under seal’ to protect the identity of Olson’s alleged victims.

‘You will see the names, and with respect to those individuals – you may not have any contact with them whatsoever. None,’ she told Olson in court Tuesday according to the New York Post.

Prosecutors recommended Olson get a 25-year prison sentence and be forced to register as a sex offender, the outlet reported.

The 55-year-old’s defense attorney Jeffrey Lichtman said they were ‘blindsided’ by the new indictment which including the additional victims.

‘There’s no allegation of any more sexual contact with any new victims,’ Lichtman said.

‘I understand where the offer is coming from, but for a 55-year-old defendant, 25 years might as well be a 1,000 [years],’ he added.

The DA accused Olson of targeting young Asian girls on Instagram by seizing on ones who posted about not being able to afford clothes, or about self-harm.

According to police, Olson stored a screenshot of the New York City public school calendar on his phone.

There were also allegedly records of pick-ups and drop-offs from NYC elementary and middle schools.

According to the New York District Attorney’s Office, Olson had found the 14-year-old girl’s Instagram profile in December 2022 and responded to a post she made about clothes being too expensive.

They claim he sent her a gift card for clothing and began to pay her to spend time with him.

Prosecutors allege that for the next six months, Olson repeatedly raped the girl and paid her $700 a week to engage in sexual conduct with him at hotels in Manhattan and Queens.

Prosecutors say he kept a spreadsheet detailing the drugs he gave young girls, and who he’d sent messages to.

The girl he was allegedly found in the hotel with had also been on trips with him, traveling to Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Miami.

Prosecutors claimed he pretended she was his daughter on the trips to avoid suspicion.

In May, EMTs were called to a hotel room where the child had overdosed and found the girl and Olson with narcotics present.

Olson was arrested but released after posting a $1million bond, while the girl was taken to hospital where she recovered from the non-fatal overdose.

Once free, police say he continued to target young girls on social media.

In a statement previously given to DailyMail.com, a spokesman for Dwight Mortgage Trust – the firm where he worked – previously confirmed he’d been fired.

‘We became aware of the serious criminal allegations against one of our employees, Michael Olson, and immediately after learning about these allegations, he was terminated.

‘The allegations are horrific and our hearts go out to the victims and their families. We will cooperate fully with any request by law enforcement regarding Mr. Olson.’

Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg continued the investigation into Olson going as far as to ask any other victims to come forward.

A neighbor told the New York Post that he ‘frequently appeared with a child who appeared 11 or 12 that was always alone in the hallway.’

He’s due back in court September 5.
