This is the terrifying moment a family campervan burst into flames at a Morrisons petrol station nearby a popular seaside resort today.
The American-style Hurricane motor home turned into a raging inferno as the driver filled it up at the pump at the station in Weymouth, Dorset, as families headed to the town for their summer holidays.
The blaze completely destroyed the front cabin and gutted the vehicle in front of horrified spectators before firefighters could extinguish it.
Black plumes of smoke could be seen for miles around.
Three engines tackled the fire with hoses as police directed cars out of the station and closed off the road.

It is understood that the occupants managed to escape unharmed.
One man witnessed the aftermath of the inferno as he drove past the Morrisons petrol station, where he saw the black, burnt left hand side and front of the vehicle being examined by firemen.
A spokeswoman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said: ‘We were called at 9.11am this morning to Dorchester Road, Weymouth.

One man witnessed the aftermath of the inferno as he drove past the Morrisons petrol station, where he saw the black, burnt left hand side and front of the vehicle being examined by firemen
‘Two crews from Weymouth and one from Dorchester attended the incident which involved a campervan fire within the fuel pump area of a petrol station.
‘Six breathing apparatus wearers used main lines and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire – our stop came at 10.11am.
‘Crews will remain on scene to dampen down and check the roof of the petrol station for any hotspots.’
Morrisons has been contacted for comment on the incident today.
