The daughter of Tampa Bay Buccaneers outside linebacker Shaq Barrett has died after drowning in their swimming pool.
The team issued a statement on Sunday evening after the tragic news of Arrayah’s death at the age of two.
Cops responded to a call of a child who had fallen into a pool at around 9.30am in Tampa’s Beach Park area Sunday, according to Tampa Police Department.
Arrayah Barrett was taken to the hospital but attempts to revive her failed.
An investigation is underway but Arrayah’s death is not believed to be suspicious, police reported.

Barrett is an outside linebacker for Tampa Bay and has been playing with the team since 2019

The NFL world sent love, prayers and condolences to Barrett and his family on social media

‘While no words can provide true comfort at a time such as this, we offer our support and love as they begin to process this very profound loss of their beloved Arrayah.’
Arrayah was the youngest of four children Barrett, who has been playing with the Bucs since 2019, has with wife Jordanna.
