A police officer caught doing 111mph in a 50mph zone on his way to work has been banned from driving for just 28 days.
Adrian Atkinson, 31, from Sussex Police was travelling at more than double the speed limit on June 21.
PC Atkinson was clocked at 9.25pm by a traffic officer with a mobile speed camera on Coombe Valley Way between Bexhill and Hastings.
He was not driving a police car and did not have any passengers with him.

He appeared at Guildford Magistrates’ Court last month where he pleaded guilty to speeding.
He was disqualified from driving for 28 days, fined £385 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £154 and costs of £210.
He now faces disciplinary action and could be booted off the force.
Chief Superintendent Lisa Bell said: ‘Sussex Police expects the highest personal and professional standards of anyone who works for us.
‘The force’s Professional Standards Department will now consider disciplinary action following the result of the court case.’
