Christian and Scott first collaborated in Out of the Furnace (2013) before then working together for a second time as Christian starred alongside Rosamund Pike and Wes Studi in the western Hostiles (2017).

The release of The Pale Blue Eye arrives just weeks after Christian’s previous film Amsterdam bombed at the box office.

David O. Russell’s star-studded film featuring Margot Robbie and Rami Malek grossed just $28 million at the worldwide box office off of a budget of $80 million.

Despite the major star power, audiences failed to come out in droves opening week, with a paltry per-screen average in the United States of $2,163, for one of the worst debuts of Russell’s directorial career.

Lucy is also set to play Marie Antoinette in Chevalier, which had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last month and is slated for theatrical release on April 7, 2023.

The actress is also coming off a pair of mini-series; The Ipcress File and Why Didn’t They Ask Evans?
