Do You Work in the Crypto Industry? We Want to Hear About It.

The implosion of the cryptocurrency market this summer erased nearly $1 trillion virtually overnight, exposing the risky practices of an industry that was supposed to provide a corrective to reckless behavior on Wall Street. Thousands of crypto employees lost their jobs in layoffs, and others saw their companies file for bankruptcy or face lawsuits and government investigations.

The New York Times is reporting on the crypto industry’s culture and the business practices of its most influential companies. We’re trying to better understand what caused the crash, how the industry is recovering and whether crypto companies have learned from their mistakes. We want to speak with people who work in crypto or have recently left the industry about their experiences.

Do you work in the industry and have a story to tell? Have you observed practices that strike you as potentially risky or harmful? What sort of relationship does your company have with government regulators? Did you work at Celsius Network, Voyager Digital, Terraform Labs, Three Arrows Capital or any other crypto company that imploded in the downturn?

We’re looking for people who are willing to be named and published in stories as well as people who can provide tips or other information that aren’t for publication. We won’t publish anything you tell us without your explicit permission. We may use your contact information to follow up with you.
