Realme is set to expand its smartphone lineup with the launch of Realme 9i 5G today (August 18) in the Indian market. The smartphone is said to run MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset and the company has also confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will be backed by a 5000mAh battery unit.

Realme will unveil Realme 9i 5G today (August 18) at 11:30 AM. The virtual event can be live streamed via the company’s official YouTube channel and social media handles.
Realme 9i 5G: Expected features and specs
Realme has dedicated a specific page on its site showcasing the Realme 9i 5G smartphone. The smartphone is expected to sport a “Laser Light Design” which the company calls as “The 5G Rockstar”. According to the microsite, Realme 9i 5G is expected to have an 8.1mm thickness. The handset is speculated to sport a triple rear camera setup.
The company has claimed that the existing chip is 20% faster than its predecessor– the Dimesity 700 chipset.
Realme 9i is said to be the 5G variant of the pre-existing Realme 9i that comes with a price tag of Rs 13,499.
The price and other details of the smartphone will be revealed during the launch event.
