Leaked ad shows off new AI features coming to Pixel 8 series: All the details

The latest ad for the Pixel 8, titled “Switch to Pixel,” has been leaked and posted by a user named Arséne Lupin on X. The ad focuses on how easy it is to switch to Google‘s Pixel phones and the new AI features coming to the Pixel 8 series.

The ad emphasises the process of switching phones, showing how the Pixel has the edge over other phones when you are switching over to it, as you can transfer apps, contacts, music, photos & videos, and your messages, whether that’s SMS, iMessage, or WhatsApp.

The advertisement then focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI) features of the upcoming Pixel 8 series, showing off “Best Take” which changes faces in photos by using AI and has been given a new look. Magic Eraser is another feature that is highlighted, and it can work on photos from your previous device. Additionally, Real Tone, Call Screen, Feature Drops, Google’s other apps, and Pixel products (such as Watch and Buds) are also mentioned.

There are a couple of ads shared, which are specific to Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 8 separately. The Pro’s ad focuses heavily on camera features, such as Video Boost, Night Sight Video, Audio Eraser, Best Take, and Pro Controls. The Pixel 8 ad, on the other hand, is more broad, covering camera features as well as Safety Check.

The Pixel 8 series will have 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN2 sensors, which capture 35% more light, making it great for low-light conditions. The Pixel 8 Pro may have a 64MP ultra-wide and a newer Time of Flight (ToF) sensor for better focusing. The Pixel 8 will still use a 12-megapixel ultra-wide but with a wider field of view. The telephoto cameras and selfie cameras will remain the same, and there will also be a thermometer on the Pro model, though its purpose remains to be a mystery.
