Sigma has announced the launch schedule of the 23mm F1.4 lens which will be available for Fujifilm X Mount. The lens will ship with multiple accessories like a lens hood, a front cap and a rear cap. This is a large-aperture wide-angle lens which is designed exclusively for APS-C mirrorless cameras. The lens will now be available for the Fujifilm X Mount starting September 21.

The company has also developed a control algorithm including an AF drive along with communication speed optimisation that has been developed specifically for X Mount interchangeable lenses. In addition to high-speed AF, the lens also supports AF-C (Continuous AF) and in-camera aberration correction.

The mount is rubber-sealed to cater for use in a variety of environments. However, it’s important to note that this function will be available only on supported cameras and the functionality may vary depending on the camera model. Sigma will also offer a mount conversion service to convert other mounts of the lens.
