Tufan Erginbilgic, a former BP executive and an engineer, will succeed Warren East as the CEO of the prestigious Rolls Royce at the start of next year.

Tufan, an engineer by profession, has spent more than 20 years working with BP, including five years as an executive team member.

He oversaw BP’s downstream business since he arrived at the company in 1997, which comprised refining, petrochemicals, the service station network, lubricants, midstream activities, and the Air BP jet fuel division, in his final position before departing in 2020.

 

Currently, Tufan Erginbilgic serves as a non-executive director of the energy firm Türkiye Petrol Rafinerileri A., the energy, healthcare, and technology business DCC plc, and the worldwide transport vehicle maker Iveco Group NV.

Furthermore, Tufan presently oversees $81 billion for investors as a partner at Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a private equity firm specializing in large-scale investments in infrastructure firms.
