A new government scheme is circulating on the internet to users across the country. The scheme claims that the government of India is offering free laptops to youth under the Prime Minister Free Laptop Scheme 2023. PIB Fact Check has verified this scheme and confirmed that this claim is fake.

According to a recent tweet posted by the official handle of PIB Fact Check, the education ministry of India isn’t running any such scheme that offers youth free laptops. The information is fake.
That means, users who receive such a scheme should avoid it completely to avoid falling in some kind of trap or from getting scammed.
