Google is supporting startups in India by offering accelerator programs and creating initiatives to help women funders and startups in remote locations. They are now accepting applications for the next Google for Startups Accelerator: India program, which will focus on startups utilizing AI and ML technologies.

What is Google for Startups Accelerator: India
The Google for Startups Accelerator: India is a three-month accelerator program that is free of equity and is aimed at helping Seed to Series A tech startups in India. The program provides Indian tech startups utilizing AI/ML or data with access to Google’s top programs, products, people, and technology.

Who can apply
Google for Startups Accelerator: India is searching for Indian startups utilizing AI and ML to tackle complex problems and overcome the biggest challenges in their respective industries, regardless of the sector. Startups that fulfill the following criteria are eligible to apply for the program:

  • The startup should be working across various sectors and either already be using or have plans to use AI/ML or data to solve complex problems.
  • Secondly, the startup should be based in India, as the program is exclusively for Indian startups.
  • Lastly, the program is best suited for startups in the Seed to Series A stages, although startups beyond this stage can also apply.

How to apply for Google Startups Accelerator: India
Applications for the Google for Startups Accelerator: India are open until April 23, 2023. For more information and to apply, visit the program’s website.

During the application period, weekly virtual open forums will be held every Friday from 4 to 5 PM (IST). Startups can register to participate and get their questions about the accelerator program answered.

How does Google for Startups Accelerator: India benefit startups
The startups chosen for the program will receive guidance and assistance in AI/ML, Cloud, UX, Android, web, product strategy, and growth. The accelerator program offers mentorship and technical project support and provides workshops and in-depth sessions focusing on product design, customer acquisition, and leadership development for founders.

Upon completing the program, a Demo Day is held to help startups establish connections with other ecosystem builders throughout India, increase their visibility, and connect with potential investors.
