Earlier this year, Oppo expanded its product portfolio with the launch of its first-ever tablet — the Oppo Pad. Now, the Chinese phone maker is reportedly working on another tablet which is expected to succeed the original Oppo Pad. According to a report by GizmoChina, a tipster named Digital Chat Station has leaked some of the key details about the Oppo Pad 2. The upcoming tablet is likely to come powered by a MediaTek processor. To compare, the original Oppo Pad featured the Snapdragon 870 chipset.

Oppo is expected to introduce a new range of foldable smartphones including the Find N2 and Find N2 Flip devices soon. The company is likely to launch these devices at the Inno Day 2022 event in December. At this event, Oppo may also share some details about the upcoming Find X6 flagship series. However, the report didn’t reveal if the company will launch Oppo Pad 2 tablet at the same event.

Oppo Pad 2 expected specifications
As per the report, the Oppo Pad 2 is likely to sport an 11-inch LCD panel that will offer a 2.8K (2800 x 2000 pixels) resolution. The upcoming tablet’s predecessor also has a same-sized screen but offers a lower resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels.

On the other hand, the original Oppo Pad is powered by a Snapdragon chipset while the upcoming tablet is said to feature the Dimensity 9000 chipset.

Oppo Pad is expected to offer a higher RAM option than its predecessor and will pack a bigger battery unit that will also support better fast charging, the report adds.

Oppo Pad key specifications
The original Oppo Pad which also sports an 11-inch IPS LCD screen was released in February. Its display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 16:10 aspect ratio.
