Meta-owned popular social media platform Instagram offers photo-sharing, short-form video sharing (Reels), and instant messaging along with other features. Like Facebook and WhatsApp, Instagram also allows its users to create polls.
Instagram Polls
Instagram users can send polls through direct messages on Android and iOS devices. The feature works the same as adding a poll sticker to your stories. The poll results will be visible to everyone in the group chat as they are cast in real time. Here’s how you can create and share polls in Instagram DMs.
Open the Instagram app on your smartphone.
Go to the DM section and open the group in which you want to create a poll.
Tap on the Stickers option.
Then, select the Polls option.
Enter the question and the requisite options.
Hit the Create poll button.
You can change your vote or add more options to the poll while it is still open by tapping View poll. It’s important to note that anyone in the group chat has the ability to change their vote or add new poll options.
Adding poll to photos and videos in DMs
The polls feature is not limited to Stories and group chats only. If you share a photo or video in a direct message, you can also add a custom poll sticker to it. Here’s how you can do it:
