David Reynolds says he feared for his life after rain wreaked havoc on the second Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia Powered by AWS race at a sodden Sandown.
The comments came midway through the one-hour affair when racing at the SpeedSeries event was halted for inclement conditions.
Reynolds was a victim of the wet weather in his Audi R8 LMS GT3, spinning out of control.

“I don’t know what your idea of fun is, but that’s not fun, that was just scary,” said Reynolds.
“I feared for my life. I don’t what was going on. Fraser [Ross] was having an accident and I was just trying to stay in my lane, then all of a sudden I was having an accident. I couldn’t even see, so I didn’t even know I was having an accident. It was just shit.”
Reynolds said his engineer was “coaching me through life because I saw the Grim Reaper and I just don’t want to see that shit again. I’m done.”

From the head of the field, Garth Tander led the start. Behind him, Shane van Gisbergen struggled to keep his car in a straight line as his Mercedes-AMG GT3 wagged its tail.
Despite nearly losing control of his car, van Gisbergen led into the first turn and skipped away with the lead.
It wasn’t long before the race was brought under the control of the safety car as the Mercedes of Ross Poulakis and Garth Walden simultaneously spun at the penultimate corner.
After a brief intermission, the race resumed with 48 minutes left on the clock. Conditions soon worsened and thunderclaps rang over Sandown.
Less than one lap after the restart, van Gisbergen threatened to throw his car off the road with a tank slapper on the run down to Dandenong Road.
Then, Reynolds looped his car and Paul Stokkell spun in sympathy behind him. The race was subsequently brought under control by the safety car and then red flagged.
“That restart was ridiculous,” said Tander, who bemoaned conditions a day earlier.
“I have absolutely no idea why they restarted us. It was borderline reckless.”
Racing resumed with only a few minutes left on the clock, leaving the field to complete last-minute pit stops.
With less than two minutes to go, van Gisbergen pitted and put teammate Prince Jefri Ibrahim of Johor in the No.888 entry.
He returned to the race just ahead of the David Reynolds/Tony Bates Audi while the Garth Tander/Yasser Shahin car battled with the Fraser Ross/Liam Talbot entry.
With less than a minute remaining, Bates threw his car down the inside of Ibrahim into the Dandenong Road esses to take the lead.
Just 20 seconds later, and Bates was spectacularly spinning out of control as he hit a puddle and aquaplaned.
With Bates buried in the gravel, the pit lane erupted as that left Ibrahim to battle Shahin for the lead.
Shahin duly surged by to greet the chequered flag first with Ross in tow as Ibrahim struggled for traction, settling for third.
