Brisbane has landed a major morale booster ahead of its AFL preliminary final showdown with Geelong.
Lions skipper Harris Andrews on Thursday announced a four-year contract extension which sees him tied to the Queensland club until the end of 2029.
His long-term commitment is a big win for the Lions as they look to tackle the Cats at the MCG on Saturday.

The MCG is the scene of heartbreak for the club, after letting last year’s grand final slip when blowing a late lead against Collingwood.
Andrews, the inspirational two-time All Australian key defender, will have a major role to play on Saturday in an effort to get his side to another premiership decider.
