Springboks forced into apology after player urinates on Sydney school grounds

A South African rugby player has been forced to apologise to a Sydney high school after urinating during a training session on school grounds.

The Springboks are training at Randwick Boys’ High School in Sydney’s east ahead of their clash with the Wallabies on Saturday.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, an unidentified player walked away during a training session on Monday to an “isolated location near trees”, before apologising to the school headmaster.

The incident is understood to have occurred without any of the school’s students witnessing it.

Despite the controversy, the reigning world champions were allowed to continue training at the school facility, which they did on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

South Africa is far from the only rugby team to have used the Randwick Boys’ High School facilities, with the Wallabies also having trained on the school grounds.
