Bears vs. Texans score and live updates: Sunday Night Football highlights, analysis and news

The first offensive touchdown for the Chicago Bears this season belongs to running back Khalil Herbert. His two-yard rush capped an eight-play, 35-yard scoring drive for the Bears.

The biggest play was a pass interference penalty on rookie safety Calen Bullock, who tackled receiver DeAndre Carter at the Texans 6. But Caleb Williams still needed to make a big play. He ran for a nine-yard gain on a draw after a false start by tight end Marcedes Lewis backed the Bears up to the 11.

Herbert’s touchdown is also a good sign for the Bears’ run game. It was tough sledding in the first half against the Texans. Running back D’Andre Swift has six yards on seven carries so far.
