“Whatever your sport, whatever your country … you are on the same level, you benefit from the same service.”

Some of the training facilities for athletes will be held in repurposed film studios that have hosted shows such as The Walking Dead and Emily In Paris.

Competitors will also be able to choose their own type of mattresses.

The only hiccup could come with the weather, as temperatures begin to rise in Paris, leading to teams such as Australia bringing their own portable air-con units.

In a first in Paris for Paralympic athletes, bike share-style access to E-scooters and wheelchairs will be on offer to get around the village.

The village will go into lockdown on Thursday (AEST), before a security sweep in preparation for the Games.
