“It’s a crusher, but I don’t know what he’s supposed to do,” Andrew Johns said on Nine.

Gallen vented his frustrations over Wilson’s display, declaring that players who stay down should be forced to go off the field.

“It’s a crusher but he stays down,” he said.

“This is what annoys me, what Cameron Smith talks about, if a player lays down he should come off for an HIA.

“We saw one in the first half on Trindall – he got up and just played the ball. But (Wilson’s) stayed and no doubt he’ll get a penalty.”

Sutton awarded the Bulldogs a penalty as Wilson was assisted by trainers back to his feet.

“This one here, it’s a bad one but Wilson contributes because the it’s the trend in the game to hit and then turn,” Johns added.

“He gets himself into that position.”
