Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson have opened up on their surprise WrestleMania appearance, admitting it was a “dream come true” to step into a WWE ring.
Two of the Philadelphia Eagles’ favourite sons were on deck to help wrestling icon Rey Mysterio secure a victory over his son Dominik and speaking to WWE post-match, Kelce heaped praise on the Hall of Fame luchador.
“We grew up watching Rey and we are just such huge fans,” the retired NFL star said.
“We couldn’t let Dom get the better of his dad.”
Johnson had been involved with WWE throughout the week in Philly, appearing at the WWE 2K24 tournament on Thursday, as well as getting put through his paces in a gym session with world champion Seth Rollins.
“He’s in shape – I learned a thing or two from him, he’s a great athlete and a great talent,” the Eagles star said.
“Tonight was a dream come true for both of us.”
