Waratahs gun Max Jorgensen will not play for the Sydney Roosters, at least not next year according to the NRL club who have denied reports of an offer.
Despite being off-contract with Rugby Australia, the 19-year-old looks set to play on in Super Rugby Pacific.
A News Corp story claimed Jorgensen had been offered a contract by the Roosters who have since denied anything was tabled.

It was speculated a $1.8 million, two-year deal was put forward.
“We have not made him an offer,” Roosters chairman Nick Politis told The Sydney Morning Herald.
Roosters head coach Trent Robinson said he is eager to have Jorgensen join his team in the future.

It’s expected Jorgensen will re-sign with Rugby Australia with a view towards the 2025 British & Irish Lions tour.
It has also been suggested he might wait until after the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia before seriously considering a switch to the NRL.

“I’ve known him since he was a kid,” Robinson said.
“(I’m) great mates with his dad. We had him training here a while ago.
“There’s always a door open for that at some point, but that hasn’t been discussed from the last time we tried to sign him.
“The door is always open for Jorgo at some point. There’s no pressure there.
“When that time comes we’ll need to speak probably a fair while in advance to get that organised knowing how good he’s going to be.”
Jorgensen will not feature for the Waratahs in round four of Super Rugby Pacific after suffering a hip injury.
Roosters-bound Mark Nawaqanitawase will start at fullback in Jorgensen’s absence allowing Dylan Pietsch to play on the wing.
That match against the Blues takes place on Saturday at the Sydney Football Stadium with kick-off at 7.35pm AEDT.
