NRL grand final: Penrith Panthers 2003 grand final premiership team where are they now

The 2003 Penrith Panthers premiership team was one of the most popular grand final winning teams of the NRL era.

The team, coached by John Lang, played an entertaining, attacking style and had some of the most exciting young players in the competition.

After finishing the season as minor premiers, they met arguably the best side of the era, the Sydney Roosters, who were captained by Brad Fittler and were shooting for back-to-back premierships.

But it wasn’t to be, with the Panthers claiming the trophy with an 18-6 win, most famous for ‘that tackle’, with Scott Sattler (pictured, centre) making an incredible play to chase down winger Todd Byrne and put him into touch after he had got into the clear.

In this picture, Sattler celebrates the victory with one of the two ‘Hair Bear’ second rowers, Joe Galuvao, and star fullback Rhys Wesser.

Scroll on to find out what those three, plus all of their premiership teammates, are doing now.
