Ashes 2023 third Test day 3 video highlights, every wicket from Australia v England, Travis Head smashes back-to-back sixes

The third Ashes Test between Australia and England is delicately poised with the home side needing just 224 runs to win.

On day three, Travis Head starred with the bat once again to make 77.

With just Scott Boland down the other end, Head went on the attack against Mark Wood in the hunt for quick runs, and belted back to back sixes while doing so.

The first was a hoick straight out of the T20 playbook that sailed over Joe Root’s head on the square-leg boundary. He looked to do exactly the same thing with the following ball, but instead got more of a top-edge that instead sailed over the fine leg boundary.

After two dot balls — that Head again tried to dispatch over the fence — Head toned it down and masterfully picked up a single off the final ball of the over to keep the strike against Stuart Broad.

With the first ball of the over though, Head tried to do the same thing to Broad as he’d done to Wood, and holed out to Ben Duckett at deep mid-wicket.
