Andrew Johns has tipped against his own wardrobe choice after sporting a ‘Victor the Inflictor’ t-shirt for the filming of Wide World of Sports’ Freddy and the Eighth’s Tips.
The eighth Immortal’s nod to Roosters star Victor Radley was timed to coincide with the cult hero’s return for a massive Friday night clash with the Rabbitohs this week.
Radley was one of several stars missing from Trent Robinson’s side that did just enough to beat the Warriors 20-12 in round two, but his inclusion wasn’t enough to sway Johns to tip against South Sydney, who he considers one of the top contenders to win this year’s premiership.
“They’ve got plenty back, so Victor’s back, hence the t-shirt,” Fittler said, pointing to Johns.
“Jared [Waerea-Hargreaves]’s back, [Rabbitohs forward Tevita] Tatola’s back, and Hame Sele goes to the bench as well, so they (Souths) get a bit of that experience in the middle.
“This will be awesome, can’t wait.”
Fittler tipped the Roosters to get the chocolates, while Johns picked the Rabbitohs.
