Christian Wilkins hits back at skinny-shaming trolls: ‘Looking too thin’

Socialite Christian Wilkins has responded to trolls saying he looks worryingly thin.

The 27-year-old was flooded with negative comments after posting a photo on Instagram on Tuesday of himself in a white crop top and denim shorts.

Christian displayed his very lean frame in the mirror selfie, and his shorts were held together with a clothes pin in order to keep them on his waist.

‘Looking too thin! Just saying,’ one troll commented below the photo.

‘You don’t look very well. Put some meat on your bones,’ another added, while a third wrote: ‘Love you, darling… but please put a little meat on… I say with love.’

A friend of Christian’s told the trolls to refrain from commenting on his body, and also warned against casually accusing people of having an eating disorder.

‘I would encourage you to reconsider what you perceive to be a person with an ED and also refrain from commenting on anyone’s body,’ they said.

‘Your opinion didn’t need to also become a comment.’

Another supporter commented: ‘Can we please not mention ED? Why do people body shame… not everyone is the same and please accept and not judge!’

‘This human is beautiful and I believe is fully aware and accepting of their body. Now leave that alone and all take care of yourselves. Please stop judging,’ they added.

Christian has always been naturally slender and Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting whatsoever he has an eating disorder.

It comes just days after the Filthy Rich and Homeless star defended himself against critics who have a problem with him wearing dresses.

He said on Friday he has no time for the ‘disgusting’ comments.

‘If you met me and attacked my personality, that would upset me, but if you think I’m wrong for wearing a dress because I have a doodle, you’re an idiot,’ he told The Courier Mail.

‘Not only do I think it’s homophobic, but it’s misogynistic. It’s this notion of, “I’m a man and I’m dressing like a woman and therefore that makes me less.”‘

‘That’s a disgusting notion. It’s 2022, whatever’ he added.

Christian, who started wearing dresses when he was about 10 years old, said he feels gorgeous in frocks.

‘There’s nothing more beautiful in the world than someone who feels beautiful in an outfit. It just radiates through you,’ he explained.
