A man and woman have been arrested in Margate on suspicion of murder after a woman was fatally stabbed at a house in the early hours of this morning.
Police and paramedics were called to an address in the Kent seaside town, where they found the victim critically injured with severe stab wounds.
The woman, who was in her 30s, was immediately taken to hospital by ambulance but was sadly pronounced dead soon after she arrived.
Police in Kent launched a murder investigation and arrested a man aged in his 30s and woman in her 20s at the scene on suspicion of murder.
The woman was further arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Police stated that the parties were known to each other.

The alarm was raised soon after 3am with a 999 call for an ambulance. Police were also contacted and swiftly came to the scene in Elfrida Close, Margate.
A spokesman for Kent Police said that the victim had suffered fatal injuries consistent with stab wounds.
‘Witnesses are being sought after officers made two arrests in connection with a murder of a woman in Margate,’ said the spokesman.
‘Police was called at around 3.10am on Saturday 16 July 2022 to a report that a woman had been assaulted at a private property in Elfrida Close.
‘Officers attended the address with South East Coast Ambulance Service and the victim, a woman aged in her 30s, was located with injuries consistent with stab wounds. She was later pronounced deceased at a local hospital.

‘Investigators from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate arrested a man aged in his 30s on suspicion of murder and a woman aged in her 20s was also arrested on suspicion of murder and assisting an offender.
‘Both remain in custody while inquiries at the scene continue. It is believed that the victim and the suspects were known to each other.
‘Officers have already spoken with several potential witnesses but believe there are several people who have important information who are yet to get in contact.
