Sophie Monk is trying for a baby but accepts it may not happen at 42

Sophie Monk has spoken candidly of her baby plans with husband Joshua Gross.

The Beauty and the Geek host, 42, told Who magazine she would love to start a family but has also accepted the possibility she may not be able to have a child at her age.

‘We are working towards that and if it happens it would be incredible, but if it doesn’t then that’s just not meant to be,’ she said.

The couple eloped at their home on the NSW Central Coast in March, which came as a surprise to fans as they had not announced a wedding date.

It was an intimate affair with no guests in attendance.

‘We figured, if you don’t invite one person, then no one could get upset,’ Sophie told Stellar magazine.

Sophie announced she was newly married on Instagram on April 2, sharing a series of photos from the pair’s private wedding day.

‘I HAVE A HUBBY! We eloped-ish at home. I can’t believe I met him on a plane! It’s crazy. Best flight of my life!’ she wrote.

‘I really do believe everything happens for a reason. I love you @joshuargross thanks for putting up with how messy, disorganised and lazy I am.
