Filming herself in Brighton, Grollo told her followers: ‘So I hear it’s Dan’s 50th birthday and I should probably bury the hatchet and pass along some birthday wishes.

‘I don’t know about you but I just can’t seem to get past 262 days in lockdown and the loss of so many lives and small businesses…. so maybe not.’

She then used her newfound fame to take potshots at the head of the state from her Instagram page, ‘The Real Karen From Briiighton.’

The anti-lockdown campaigner fled the state in October 2020 for brighter pastures after finding a loophole to get into Queensland.

At the time, Queensland officials had banned anyone from Victoria from entering the state.

But she was able to fly into the Northern Territory and spend two weeks in quarantine at Howard Springs near Darwin to pave the way for her entry to the Sunshine State.

After flying out of Victoria, the anti-lockdown campaigner documented her newfound freedom online.

Following two weeks in lockdown, Grollo enjoyed Pilates workouts and yoga sessions with Australian model Mia Woolrich.

‘We’re swimming in the sunshine and don’t it feel good,’ she sang to the the tune of ‘Walking on Sunshine’.

She also shared a photo of residents of the quarantine facility enjoying an open-air screening of the football.

‘Footy on the BIG screen. Shout out to the J Block boys for the invite,’ she wrote.

‘Karen from Brighton’ became a household name after whingeing about lockdown restrictions on TV.

‘Well, you get sick of walking the same streets. You know, I’ve done all of Brighton,’ she told Nine News.

She was very quickly slammed by Andrews over the comments.

‘I’ve got a very clear message to every single Victorian, particularly some of those featured on social media: whether you are in Broadmeadows or Brighton, stay at home means stay at home,’ he said.

‘And if walking your local streets is boring, well, being bored is much better than being in intensive care. That’s my clear message.’
