NRL 2022: WAG Tahlia Giumelli treks 150km for Mark Hughes Foundation

Rugby league WAG Tahlia Giumelli is a woman on a mission.

The lingerie model, 29, has committed to trekking 150km across NSW to raise money for The Mark Hughes Foundation, the brain cancer charity founded by ex-NRL player Mark Hughes, who was diagnosed with the disease in 2013.

The charity is close to Tahlia’s heart as she lost her aunt Jenny to brain cancer in 2014.

Her journey is part of The Big Three Trek, in which a group of 50 people travel 150km from Sydney’s NRL Headquarters to Newcastle’s McDonald Jones Stadium.

The journey aims to raise funds and awareness for The Mark Hughes Foundation.

Tahlia, the wife of South Sydney Rabbitohs prop Tom Burgess, is documenting her progress on Instagram.

She has already completed two thirds of her journey, having walked 100km with 50km to go.

She said: ‘Walking with the other trekkers and getting to know their why’s or who’s makes every step more meaningful.’

Tahlia encouraged her followers to ‘donate at the link‘ in her Instagram bio.
