Julie Goodwin has emerged as a favourite to win MasterChef Australia this year thanks to her culinary skills and mouth-watering meals.
But it was the celebrity chef’s choice of jewellery that caught viewers’ attention during Tuesday’s episode.
Eagle-eyed fans couldn’t help but notice Julie, 51, was wearing a necklace with a small spoon-shaped pendant.
MasterChef viewers are making tasteless jokes about Julie Goodwin’s unique necklace (seen here on Tuesday’s episode)
While the necklace was clearly an homage to her love of cooking – and no reasonable person would think otherwise – similar accessories are sometimes associated with drug use.
Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting the necklace is a ‘snuff spoon’.
The vast majority of people who wear such necklaces – including Julie – do so simply as a fashion statement and the spoon serves no practical purpose.

Julie has a reputation for wearing unusual, food-inspired jewellery on screen.
In recent episodes, the gourmand has sported designs such as a chilli necklace, pizza earrings and a pendant inspired by a slice of lemon.
Julie makes these jewellery items by hand and sells them under the brand name Lemonade Art, via her website Julie’s Place.

‘Lemonade Art is all made by hand and no two pieces are the same. Using polymer clay, ceramic, resin, glass and repurposed items, along with quality findings, these earrings, brooches and pendants are truly one-of-a-kind,’ her website states.
‘Perfect for gifts, or to add a statement piece to any outfit.’
Julie, who is known for her hearty home recipes, famously beat runner-up Poh Ling Yeow on season one of MasterChef Australia in 2009.
