Love Island 2022: Tasha admits she would go on another date with newcomer Charlie

Loyalties were tested on Thursday night’s instalment of Love Island as Tasha Ghouri admitted to feeling a spark with new guy Charlie Radedge – despite being coupled up with Andrew Le Page.

Charlie received a text telling him he could choose two girls to go on a date with and he selected Ekin-Su and Tasha, who seemed quite smitten with him after they got to know each other in the hot tub.

Meanwhile, in a preview of Friday’s episode, the islanders learned that they will soon be recouling, with Andrew looking worried about the status of his relationship with Tasha. 

Although she told Charlie early on in the episode that she is really close with Andrew, she admitted to the girls later that she would go on another date with the bombshell if given the chance.  

Speaking to the girls after their hot tub date, Tasha said: ‘It was a nice date, it went better than expected.’

‘When he’s one on one, he’s very different than when he’s around lots of people. You can see that.’

Indiyah Polack asked: ‘Would you go on another date with him?’

Tasha repied: ‘Probably yeah, there is something about Charlie that does intrigue me. He’s different to Andrew in that, he’s more mysterious I think,that’s the best way to explain it.’

Danica Taylor encouraged Tasha not to feel bad, saying: ‘What you have with Andrew is quite intense, but you’re here for you and you have to find the best connection for you.’

Elsewhere during the episode, Ekin-Su accused investment analyst Jay of only coupling up with her in order to remain safe on the show and avoid elimination. 

She said he could have got with Paige on ‘day dot’ after he told her that he has feelings for her rival Islander. 

Speaking to Ekin-Su at the fire pit, Jay said: ‘Obviously, you’ve probably sensed that I’ve been a bit off today and yesterday and it’s just because I want to be honest with my feelings.  

‘And I feel like because I moved so fast with you I didn’t get the chance to explore getting to know one Islander in particular here, which is Paige.’

Ekin-Su said: ‘I’m shocked with the Paige thing – wow!’

Jay continued: ‘I wanted to tell you first because I respect you and I owe you the respect.’

Jay was initially happy with the way Ekin-Su received the news and then told Jacques, 23, that he is keen to get to know Paige – after the pair had themselves grown close.

He said: ‘I don’t want anything to get between us and I’m telling you man-to-man. I want to get to know Paige on a better level.’

Jacques said: ‘You do what you want. It’s not going to come between me and you. You have to do what you have to do.’ 

Shortly after, Ekin-Su pulled Jay for another chat at the fire pit and it appeared she has had a change of heart and grown more furious.

Ekin-Su said: ‘First of all, I take everything back that I said here. I was calm, collected and it just hit me now what you have done. 

‘You knew at the recoupling to stay safe that I would pick you. You could have got to know Paige from day dot.

‘Why would you open up to me? Saying all these cute things like ‘my head wouldn’t turn’…’

In a short clip of the next instalment of the dating show Ekin – who on Wednesday night’s show said she was starting to fall for the hunk – was sat by the fire pit for the row which ended with her telling him to ‘f**k off’. 

In the teaser clip she told him of his behaviour with Paige: ‘It’s just hit me now what you’ve done, you’re telling me now you want to get to know Paige when she’s in a secure relationship. Do you know how muggy that makes you look? 

‘Apparently I was a player in here but the biggest player in here is you. You deserve an Oscar for that, the biggest Oscar. So you should just f**k off Jay!’

Meanwhile, Paige was left upset after she learned that Jacques told Jay he had no problem with him getting to know her better.

After witnessing the outburst between Jay, Ekin-Su and Jacques – Paige and Tash head up to the dressing room for some girl talk.

As Paige begins to sob, a concerned Tash asked: ‘What’s getting to you?’ 

Paige said: ‘The whole Jacques thing. He’s like ‘yeah go on have your conversation with Jay. But it’s not what I want.’

‘I’m just a bit like are you pushing it that hard because you aren’t feeling the same way?’

The dramatic clip ended with Paige stating: ‘You can either have all of my effort or none of it.’ 

She added in the Beach Hut: ‘It’s not like I want Jacques to be like “no, you only can get to know me, you can’t chat to anyone else.” 

‘All I’m looking for from Jacques is a bit of reassurance. I don’t know, I just feel really confused at the minute.’ 

Later, things started to heat up between Danica and Davide as the pair shared a passionate kiss. 

The pair have been getting to know one another steadily since Danica arrived in the villa last week.

Speaking about new girl Antigoni’s arrival, Danica said: ‘I still want to get to know you, just as we are doing.’

Davide asked: ‘What’s going to happen?’

Danica said: ‘I don’t know. We’re still vibing and chatting. What do you want to happen Davide?’

Danica replies: ‘I do want to get to know you. Me and you are going to have a great time over the next couple of days.’ 

Davide soon leans in for a kiss and the pair locked lips. 

Elsewhere, newcomer Charlie Radedge decided to take Tasha Ghouri and Ekin-Su for hot tub dates.

Charlie received a text which read: ‘Charlie, it’s time for you to pick two girls for some one on one time in the Hideaway terrace hot tub #doublebubble #getbusywiththefizzy’.

Charlie chose Ekin-Su and Tasha and up first was Ekin-Su. The pair get into the hot tub and share some strawberries and a glass of bubbly.

Charlie said to Ekin-Su: ‘Relationship wise – once I’m in a relationship, I’m fully committed. I’m a bit of an all or nothing person. Does that surprise you?’

An impressed Ekin-Su said: ‘A bit. It takes a confident guy to admit that. I’ve not had anyone who has said that to me yet.’

Ekin-Su said: ‘When I look at you, I feel like you look quite deep into someone’s eyes – it’s quite meaningful.’

It was then time for Tasha’s date with Charlie. And Charlie was keen to find out if Tasha is closed off because of her coupling with Andrew.   

Charlie asked: ‘Are you opposed to getting to know me?’ Tasha says: ‘I’m open to having conversations – I’m coming in here open-minded.’

Charlie said: ‘I think for me I want to go on a date with someone that I have a genuine interest in other than going on a date with someone for the sake of it.’

Complimenting Tasha, Charlie said: ‘Naturally, I’m attracted to you physically – you’re very pretty. Personality-wise, you seem like you’re a lot of fun. I was intrigued by you.’
