Bullock began by explaining her reasoning for her forthcoming break from acting and noted that she was looking forward to moving at her own pace.

The Academy Award-winning performer stated: ‘I don’t want to be beholden to anyone’s schedule other than my own.’

The Blind Side star then commented about the fatigue that she had been experiencing over the past few years.

‘I’m so burnt out. I’m so tired, and I’m so not capable of making healthy, smart decisions and I know it,’ she said.

Bullock pointed out that, although she was grateful for the success she had found, she was worried about its implications on her personal life.

‘Work has always been steady for me, and I’ve been so lucky. I realized it possibly was becoming my crutch. It was like opening up a fridge all the time and looking for something that was never in the fridge,’ she stated.

The performer then remarked that she had to have a conversation with herself regarding success.

She recalled: ‘I said to myself, “Stop looking for it here because it doesn’t exist here. You already have it; establish it, find it and be OK not having work to validate you.”‘
