Aiken lights up first half
Tarryn Aiken set up the Maroons’ second try with a pinpoint grubber kick into the in-goal area that was fumbled by NSW fullback Emma Tonegato.
“She’s a crafty player, Tarryn Aiken,” Phil Gould said in commentary for Nine.
“This is all you gotta do in greasy conditions. Put the ball in the right places, and allow the errors to happen.
“Very calmly, just rolls towards the line. Puts a little dink in. NSW again come up with the error.
“Beautifully done — just kicks it to the try line. Allows the pressure of the situation to build.”
Aiken was a standout for the Maroons in the opening half of footy.
