According to a source, this announcement was not in response to those demanding to know where Kate, The Times reports, but instead to demonstrate her awareness of the importance of her role and responsibility to her duties.
The source told The Sunday Times that the announcement was not about the drama which has followed her in recent weeks, despite the fact that it had been ‘upsetting’ for her.

As the family come to terms with the challenges that come from having two members struck with cancer, the Waleses have requested that the public and press respect their privacy while they have some quality family time.
