Pop star Nelly Furtado is set to host the 53rd Juno Awards in Halifax on Sunday, where some of the biggest names in Canadian music will gather to celebrate the past year’s achievements.

Performances will include Toronto rock band The Beaches, Montreal folk singer Allison Russell and Furtado, a 10-time Juno winner originally from Victoria.
