Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 open beta now available for the OnePlus 10 Pro

With the Android 13 beta testing nearing its end, other manufacturers have started releasing the beta for their custom OS’ based on the Android 13. Last week, OnePlus announced the next iteration of OxygenOS based on Android 13 – the OxygenOS 13 based – and now the first public beta of the same has been released for the OnePlus 10 Pro.

OnePlus took it to its community forum to announce the commencement of the OxygenOS 13 open beta programme. The company has released the first open beta of the OxygenOS 13 for its users in India and North America. We expect other smartphones to join the beta test soon.

In the forum post, OnePlus says that the latest iteration of its Android skin offers slightly different features in each region, which is why the Europe rollout has been delayed.

So, if you own a OnePlus 10 Pro and reside in the two countries mentioned above, you can install the OxygenOS 13 open beta 1 on your smartphone. However, do note that the beta version of the software may come with bugs and issues. The company has listed the known bugs on the forum, so give it a read before proceeding with the installation.

What’s new in OxygenOS 13
OxygenOS 13 brings a new ‘Aquamorphic’ design and some on-the-top features in addition to the features introduced in Android 13. There are some improvements to the Always On Display and two new Spotify and Food Delivery AODs. Furthermore, the OxygenOS 13 has several under-the-hood changes to improve the overall user experience.

OnePlus smartphones are eligible for OxygenOS 13
Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 will be coming to the OnePlus 10T, OnePlus 9 Pro, OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9R, OnePlus 9RT, and OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 8, and the OnePlus 8T. Meanwhile, the Nord smartphones eligible for the OxygenOS 13 update are Nord 2, Nord 2T, Nord CE 2, Nord CE, and Nord CE 2 Lite.
