Meanwhile, Johnny is still entangled in legal battles with his Amber Heard – as the actress fights to overturn a court’s June settlement against her.

He was awarded $10.35 million for damages after a defamation suit against his ex-wife.

But The Aquaman actress has appealed for the award to be overturned, two months after she was ordered to pay.

Amber was denied a request for a mistrial a week before, arguing that one of the jurors on the case shouldn’t have been eligible to serve because his summons was intended for his father, who had the same name and lived at the same address.

And since appealing, Depp has also made an appeal against the $2 million (£1.7 million) in compensatory damages that he was ordered to pay to her.

Following their divorce, the actor was said to be in financial turmoil, as he sold up a large portion of his sizeable property portfolio.

In 2016, he listed his four-story Venetian mansion which overlooks Venice’s Grand Canal for $10.8 million – after paying $13 million for it in January 2011.

While 2017 saw him sell the last of his five LA penthouses, which gathered up a whopping $10.88 million – around $2 million under the collective asking price.

And it didn’t stop there: He let go of his Kentucky ranch-style pad in 2020 for nearly nearly half its cash value – as he only raked in $1,350,000, despite it’s worth being reported at $2.33 million.

While his downtown Los Angeles penthouse, which he shared with Heard, also went on the market last month for $1.76 million.

Johnny also recently offloaded his debut artwork collection, selling 750 limited-edition pieces for a whopping $3.6 million (£3 million) in total, through Castle Fine Art.
