Bindi Irwin paid a touching tribute to the late Olivia Newton-John on Tuesday.
The Wildlife Warrior, 24, shared a photo of herself walking hand-in-hand with the beloved Grease actress as they participated in a charity run.
‘One of the kindest and most wonderful souls the world has ever known,’ Bindi captioned the picture on Instagram.

The conservationist attended Olivia’s Cancer Wellness & Research Centre Gala in Melbourne in September of that year just weeks before she wished her long-time friend a happy 69th birthday.
Bindi shared a picture of herself and Chandler, 25, to Instagram with the caption: ‘I hope your birthday was beautiful [Olivia]. Love you so much. Your strength and grace inspires the world.’
The friendship between the two came as no surprise given Olivia’s strong love and connection to wildlife and sustainability.

She spoke with Women’s Weekly in 2021 about how nature has impacted and shaped her life, saying: ‘It’s very difficult these days to get away from the ugly and the bad, but nature balances you, I feel, because we are part of that. We are part of the natural kingdom.
‘As humans, we think we’re separate but we’re not. [My daughter] Chloe’s father [Matt Lattanzi] once said to me that nature was his church and I thought that was a beautiful description.’
Olivia grew up on the green and leafy University of Melbourne campus where her father Brinley Newton-John worked.

She went on to say her mother was always passionate about nature and sustainability, and so her love for wildlife traced back to her childhood.
‘Nothing was wasted – we recycled and re-used everything. I heard this all my life and it is important to me. I really value nature – above just about everything,’ she said.
Olivia died peacefully at the age of 73 in her home in Southern California on Monday morning, surrounded by family and friends.
It came after a brave and extraordinarily public decades-long battle with cancer in which she was diagnosed three times in 1992, 2013 and, for a final time, in 2017.
