Worker dies at Queensland construction site after bulldozer crushes him near Meandu coal mine at Nanango

A worker has died after he was crushed by a bulldozer at a construction site near a coal mine.

The man was killed at a construction site near the intersection of Ridge Road and Tarong Power Station Road at Nanango, in Queensland, at 9am on Wednesday. 

The bulldozer rolled down a hill and crushed the man who was outside of the vehicle at the time.

A Resources Safety and Health Queensland spokeswoman said the matter was being looked into.

‘We have been made aware of an incident at Meandu Mine and we are currently following up with the mine operator,’ she said. 

The site is near the State Government-owned Tarong Power Station and the Meandu coal mine in the South Burnett region.
