Lady A announces they’re postponing tour amid guitarist Charles Kelley’s ‘sobriety journey’

On Thursday, five-time Grammy-winning country trio Lady A announced they’re postponing their 21-date Request Line Tour until next year.

The band formerly known as Lady Antebellum made the ‘hard but important decision’ due to singer-guitarist Charles Kelley’s ‘journey to sobriety.’

‘In order to be the healthiest, strongest, and most creative band we can be, Lady A will take the time with the support of our families and team of professionals to walk through this together,’ Lady A – who boasts 17.9M social media followers – said in a statement.

‘It’s early on this road, but we are determined to do what will best set us up for many more years together. We’re grateful for your patience. Charles, Hillary Scott, and Dave Haywood were originally scheduled to kick off their Request Line Tour August 13-14 at Ryman Auditorium in their native Nashville.

Ironically, the Summer State of Mind stars made the announcement the same day Breland is set to release his new single Told You I Could Drink featuring them.
