The sister of bikie boss Tarek Zahed has been arrested by police during a series of city-wide raids after the gangland execution of drugs kingpin Alen Moradian in June.

Tattooed Asmahan ‘Azzie’ Zahed, 43, was one of nine people arrested by detectives across Sydney on Thursday by the NSW Police Force’s Task Force Magnus.

Asmahan’s brother Omar Zahed was killed and brother Tarek lost an eye in a gangland hit when the Comanchero bikies were gunned down at an Auburn gym in June last year.

Omar, 39, died at the scene in a hail of gunfire, but Tarek, 42, miraculously survived despite being shot 10 times, including a bullet to the head which took out his eye.

On Thursday, police raided the Auburn home of their sister, next to a kindergarten, in Sydney’s west as part of the massive blitz on addresses in 10 different suburbs.

Footage of her arrest showed her led away in handcuffs, wearing thongs, joggers and hiding her face under a black hoodie as parents and children arrived at the child care centre across the road.

Task Force Magnus was set up in the wake of the underworld assassination of coke trade supremo Alen Moradian who was gunned down in his car at an underground car park of a Bondi Junction apartment block in Sydney’s east.

It’s an expansion of the Raptor squad targeting organised crime and expands the focus to those allegedly associated with bikie gangsters in a bid to prevent an all-out gang war.

Thursday raids also arrested Lolomania Kolomotangi, 23, in Quakers Hill who was charged with being in a stolen car, failing to give digital evidence to police and suspected stolen goods.
