Meta-owned popular instant messaging app WhatsApp keeps on testing new features and changes to improve the user experience. According to a report by WABetaInfo, the company has now rolled out a new update through the Google Play Beta Program. With this update, WhatsApp widely rolled out a multi-account feature for Android users. Along with this, WhatsApp also added a redesigned app settings interface for beta testers. Both these changes are now available to more beta testers.
WhatsApp multi-account feature
Earlier, WhatsApp’s multi-account feature was available only for a handful of beta testers. With this new feature, WhatsApp will allow testers to add another account to the same device, without using parallel or cloned apps.
Users will be able to add an extra account on the same device directly right within WhatsApp Settings. This feature will allow users to manage their conversations from multiple accounts with a single app.
Moreover, the app will also keep conversations and notifications separate and enable users to switch between accounts on the same device without the need for different devices or parallel apps.

This feature will simplify the process of using multiple accounts on one device and will eliminate the need to set up a separate WhatsApp account, even from a different device. It’s worth noting that users may be able to add only one additional account to their app. However, WhatsApp may increase this limit in a future update of the app.
WhatsApp new app settings interface
Similarly, a new interface for the app settings and a profile tab were also available to a few beta testers earlier. The latest WhatsApp beta update for Android which is now available on the Google Play Store, these two features are being widely rolled out to more beta testers.
The new interface for settings will offer users a more modern experience while navigating through the various options of the app. It’s important to note that the update also includes a redesigned profile tab right within the chat list. This section will make it easier for users to open the settings of the app.
