Samsung One UI 6 beta: How to enroll, eligible devices and things to keep in mind

Samsung has started rolling out One UI 6 beta in India. The update is now available for users to download. However, not all the Galaxy smartphones are currently eligible for the beta update. In addition to this, there are certain things that one needs to keep in mind while installing the beta software in the phone.

Caution

It is worth noting that this is a beta software and may contain several bugs and issues and may result in an overall inconsistent user experience. Some apps and services may also not work properly after the update.

Eligible devices

Currently, the beta progarm is available only for Galaxy S23 series phones including Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra. We expect Samsung will extend the beta program to more devices in coming days.

How to enroll into One UI 6 beta program
Open Samsung Members app on your smartphone
Scroll through the banners at the top and look for One UI 6 banner
If you don’t see the banner yet, restart the device and then try.
Tap on the banner
It will redirect you to a new One UI 6 page. Scroll down and read all the changes and instructions provided and hit Enroll button at the bottom to enroll into the beta program.

How to download One UI 6 beta on your Galaxy smartphone
Once you’ve enrolled into the program, you can head to Settings → Software update → Check for updates.

You’ll see the One UI 6 beta update available for your phone. Hit Downlaod and then hit Install button.
Wait for the update process to complete and restart the the device.

Things to keep in mind
Make sure that the phone has minimum 20% battery for seamless update
Also, ensure that the phone has enough free space as the update size is around 3GB.
Backup the entire device via cloud or using Smart Switch app.
