Channel Seven’s Commonwealth Games coverage dominates Monday night

The 250th episode of Have You Paying Attention? scored big for Channel 10 on Monday night’s TV ratings.

The panel show, where comedians are tested on their knowledge of top news events of the week, drew 581,000 viewers across the five major metro centres. 

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was guest quiz master on the special edition of the hit show, joining host Tom Gleisner and regular cast members including Kitty Flanagan, Aaron Chen and Amanda Keller.

HYBPA? was the top entertainment program on Monday night, while Seven’s coverage of the Commonwealth Games dominated all rivals.

The excitement surrounding the action in Birmingham pulled in an impressive 645,000 fans across the five major city centres.

Meanwhile, Hunted’s large cult of dedicated viewers gave Channel 10 another hit for the evening.

The real life thriller, in which contestants are pursued by surveillance experts, attracted 546,000 viewers in the metro ratings.

The numbers, while down on the past week, still put the show in the top ten for the network, placing it the No.2 entertainment show for the night, overall.

News and current affairs panel show The Project, also on Channel 10, can’t seem to hold onto viewers, with or without competition from the Commonwealth Games.

Monday saw it manage only 326,000 viewers for its 7pm slot in the metro ratings, a drop of 97,000 fans from the same time last week.

The feel-good dating show only managed to pull in 497,000 fans on Monday night across in the metro ratings.

Overall Channel Seven won the night, with a massive 34.1 per cent of the audience share. Channel Nine came in second with an audience share of 25 per cent.

Meanwhile, Channel 10 came in third with 19.2 per cent of the market.
